Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy technique that promotes relief from symptoms and emotional distress resulting from past trauma. When administered properly by a trained therapist, in many cases, EMDR has been shown to garner results in a shorter timeframe than that of traditional methods.

EMDR therapy combines different elements to maximize treatment effects and involves attention to the past, present, and future. Focus is given to past traumas and related events, to current situations that cause distress, and to developing the skills and attitudes needed for positive future actions.

What EMDR Can Treat

EMDR is primarily used to overcome symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). However, EMDR has been found to effectively treat other mood and anxiety disorders, including:

  • Depression
  • Phobias
  • Panic disorder

We are Here to Help

If you or someone you know has experienced trauma or show signs of PTSD, don’t suffer any longer and don’t feel like you are on your own. Treatment is available and we're here to help. Call 501-954-7470 or CLICK HERE to request an appointment with one of our professional therapists.
