Melanie assesses clients’ individual needs and interests in order to tailor therapy to meet their unique needs. As a result, she uses a combination of talk therapy and experiential therapies, including play, sand tray, art, music, games, books, and other activities.
Melanie graduated with her Bachelor’s in Middle School Education, from Arkansas State University, and then from Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas with her Master’s in Social Work, with a focus on Hispanic Culture. She has worked in the mental health field with children and adolescents since 2014, across many different cultures and family dynamics.
“I believe that behavior is merely a way of communicating unmet needs. I also believe that change and healing happen within relationships. Both principles guide my practice with minors and their families.”
