Susan Reed, LCSW

BHSA and Community Services Director

Susan has led our team since early 2017 and has over 20 years of experience as a clinician. She received her Bachelors degree in pyschology from the University of Central Arkansas and her Masters degree in social work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Susan specializes in trauma informed care, grief and loss issues, school based mental health services, and clinical supervision and program management.

Susan's journey in the mental health field has included a variety of educational opportunities, and she enjoys working with a variety of populations. When discussing BHSA, Susan shared that she is enthusiastic and strives to empower clients and team members.  She stated that, "My management style is to take on a consultative approach. I value the importance of an open door policy where employees are encouraged to discuss their ideas. Our team is devoted to patient care and we work together to provide an environment where everyone feels comfortable to express their ideas and get the support they need to make their life better."  

In her spare time, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She loves sports, music and arts and crafts.
