René is a licensed therapist with no specialty license but the ability to treat a variety of clients and diagnoses. She is interested in working with people having problems with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and ADHD issues. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and believes that a holistic approach to therapy is beneficial to clients.
Her approach to treatment is based on clients developing a deeper understanding of the issues contributing to their emotional distress, and finding and practicing healthy ways to address those issues.
René received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, San
Diego, and a Master's degree from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She has experience working in inpatient psychiatric care, day treatment, school-based and outpatient settings.
She enjoys working with clients in outpatient settings because they are aware of and put forth the initiative to seek help to alleviate the emotional distress in their life and seek to have lives that are happy and fulfilled.
