Skylar has been working for BHSA at Arkansas School for the Deaf since 2017. She stated that she loves being school-based and being active in the Deaf community and Deaf culture.

Skylar attended Arkansas State University-Beebe where she received her Associates in Liberal Arts and in Health and Social Sciences. At University of Arkansas at Little Rock she received an Associates in American Sign Language and English Studies as well as her Bachelors in Psychology.

Skylar enjoys reading everything she can get her hands on and encouraging that same passion in her daughter. When she's not at work she can usually be found coming up with new and creative ways to homeschool her daughter and instill a love of learning in her from an early age!
